BOBCAT – SKID STEER Training Course
The aim of this Bobcat training course is to provide Skid Steer Loader training course participants with the knowledge,skills and attitude to enable them to pick up and move loads in confined spaces in a safe manner.

Course Objectives
The aim of this Bobcat training course is to provide Skid Steer Loader training course participants with the knowledge,skills and attitude to enable them to pick up and move loads in confined spaces in a safe manner.
Course Topics
- Introduction
- Safety Awareness
- Checklist for components
- Controls and instructions of use
- Carry out all pre-use and running checks
- Hydraulic inspection
- Maintenance
- Electric systems
- Load various types of materials into receptacles, i.e. vehicles, hoppers, skips etc.,
Legislation
Participants
A maximum of 4 participants can attend each Bobcat training session, and assessment day.
Duration
Bobcat training sessions are a 1-day in duration.
Assessment day also required = 2 days total.
Or you can choose to just do the assessment day.
Certification
On successful competition of the Bobcat Assessment participants will receive an Accredited Certificate. The certification will expire after 3-years.
Renewal
Participants are required to renew their training by completing the assessments again. Renewals should happen before the certification expires, or sooner if indicated by their company’s risk assessment.
Course Entry Requirements
- 6 months operational experience
- Passport photograph
- Safe pass course completed
- PPS number
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) , i.e. hard hat, high visibility vest, steel toe capped boots, gloves.
Site Requirements
- The client is required to provide access to the Bobcat which the participants are being trained on during this course.
- The machine must be in safe working order, if the machine is not the training will not proceed but the training will still be charged.
- The client is also required to provide access to the site for the practical and suitable space for trainer and participants to demonstrate maneuvers.
